Koni Street Driveability WAS: reply from Koni

I'd like to hear people's comments on the comfort/handling/longevity of
using Konis for street use too.  Like Bill, I've only auto crossed at a VTR
National so the vast majority of my driving is on public roads.  I currently
have KYBs and have only driven my TR8 so I do not have any basis for
comparison but I'd like to know what I may be missing.

When I bought my TR8 in 1987, it had just had a set of new Koni shocks and struts installed.  Now, nearly 30 years and 40,000 miles later they still perform like new.  And, I like the ride - firm but not harsh with good control.  Since I didn't install them, I assume they were installed at the factory settings.  I did experiment with adjusting the rears for more firmness but found that that increased oversteer to and unacceptable level.
