gear knob thread size?

gear knob thread size?

Anyone know what the thread size is an a late TR7 5 speed gear lever? It

looks like 3/8 fine, but is it? Could it be Metric?

Of course it's metric.B  The car is metric!!!

The last ones used M10, the ones earlier M8...

Basically Metric - Except for the engine,  power steering(?) and a few other sub-systems.

Weird - I was just researching this...



I've seen 5/16-18 for all cars before 81.



Thoughts ?

I stand corrected

- the earlier ones are indeed Imperial measure threads (I checked the

one on my LT77)

and my later one is metric M10 (I checked the one on my R380 with an '81

remote+lever).

So your 5/16 sounds about right from looking at it only...
