Lubricating the threads will reduce the friction generated in rotation of the

Fastener, this will increase the clamp load for a given torque.

I installed the ARP kit on my TR7 but am totally unfamiliar with the Stag engine. My suggestion is to phone ARP and ask them about your situation. They were very helpful in resolving a discussion on this forum about retorqueing the ARP bolts/nuts after installation. FYI they said don't do it.

There should have been an instruction sheet that came with the fasteners in

the box. It will tell you the torque specs and the 3 step process for

torquing the head.
