Victoria British Seat kit Quality?
« on: August 19, 2019, 01:29:42 PM »
Hi Wedge guys. For my 1980 TR-7 DHC I should like to order from Victoria

British their Seat Cover Kit, cloth center tan with vinyl on the sides. These

I need for the renovation of my car as the originals are kaput and VB is my

choice of supplier as I have a gift card of significant value I should like to

cash in.

But then, quality is still of importance and I should like to know the

experience of others before I purchase. As for my car, it is a driver, not a

show car. Also, I should like to be able to install the covers myself.

Please reply either via the List or direct to

Thank you, Karl Schmitt of St. Louis, MO

Hi Karl,

Ibm pretty sure there is just one supplier for these.  (Newton, I think?).

I didnbt get seat kit from VB, but have received other trim parts from them,

and they were from the same manufacturer as the seat kits I got from Rimmer.

I did install the seat covers myself.  I also replaced the foams.  The back

foams in particular took quite a bit of surgery to make work.  But my original

foams were pretty sad, so reusing wasnbt an option.

When I get a chance, I can scan the instructions I got with my covers.

I canbt speak to the quality of their seat covers, but I can tell you their

door cards and rear firewall panels are very good quality! If you decide not

to get their seat covers and still need door cards you could spend your gift

card there!
