Wire gauge?
« on: March 13, 2019, 05:54:13 AM »
I'm going to replace some portions of my wiring with new. Can't afford new

harnesses, so I'll only do those areas where the insulation is obviously

beginning to fail.  What gauge is the majority of the wiring?  16 ga?  I'm

presently looking at wiring at the rear of the car going to the fuel tank

and maybe some of the lighting,

More likely 18 or 20.B  I would use 18 on the lighting and 20 for the fuel

level and low warning.B  If you have a heated backlight that will need 16

gauge.

British Wire carries the correct wire so you can get the appropriate colors

and sizes.B  They sell in one meter increments.
