Listers,

For those here in the northeast USA please consider the thoughtfulness of

Mother Nature. Last week she sent us 12" of snow and it was gone in 3/4 days.

Noticing the lack of cover she is today sending us a replacement 12" of snow.

Yikes.

Regarding door seals. One may wish to look at Part # 15019 supplied by

https://fairchildindustries.com/trim-seals/. It might work. A few years ago

they sent me some samples and then a list member found a nice set of used FHC

door seals. I stopped looking but I may still have the samples.

I will look.

MacGregor British Car Parts says he has the seals on his web site. His

bristle flex for the TR6 was a perfect fit and I would assume the seals for

a Tr7/8 would be as accurate.

To chime in, I live a few miles from MagGregor, and have his door seals on my

TR8.  Virtually indistinguishable from OEM.  If for a coupe, you would still

have to fuse the seal into a 90 degree corner, but dead easy for a DHC.

I'll second or third the vote for the McGregor seals.  I have them on DHC

TR8 and they look and fit like original.

How would you fuse the seal?

They recommend Cyanoacrylate (super glue), I used 3M Super Weatherstrip

Adhesive.
