Title: Kevlar reinforced radiator hoses
Post by: Wayne Simpson on October 14, 2018, 10:15:23 PM
Anyone have any experience with these to share? I just had a kevlar

reinforced lower hose develop a leak somewhere in the middle of the

hose. It had been in service about 9 years, so perhaps I shouldn't

complain, but this is the first time I've ever had a hose go bad like

this. It doesn't look bad an it isn't soft, but any pressure at all will

cause a sizable leak. I have another one to replace it with, but if

these things have a shelf life maybe I should buy something else.

Anyone?

Wayne. I had a similar issue with a lower rad. Hose on the stag . It sprung

a leak. It was a Kevlar hose. Lasted about 16 or so years. But the folks in

UK stag forum say to stay away from Kevlar .  It was reinforced.  So maybe

that was good so the leak was small and I noticed it.
